Charles Aurelia has proudly been affiliated with the ICSA as an instructor since 2012. Starting 39 years ago, he brings decades of study in self protection to his instruction, as well as years experience as a Head Bouncer for a large night club, two decades as a Firefighter/Paramedic and Fire Officer, a decade as an emergency medicine / prehospital medicine college professor, and 13+ years as Personal Trainer. Mountain Forge has offered exceptional quality self defense, austere medical, and survival skills training and is proud to be affiliated with the International Combat Systema Association.

Charles is the head of Mountain Forge, an organization designed to facilitate learning that is based in western North Carolina. He is available to offer seminars and private/semi-private instruction throughout North and Central America and the world. 
Charles has experience studying Combat Sambo, Japanese Jui Jitsu, Catch Wrestling, Kali/Escrima, American Kenpo, Jeet Kun Do, Aikido, Hapkido, several types of Kung Fu, Professional Security, VIP Protection, combative firearms, and other weapons combatives.

He is continually learning, studying, and hybridizing what Mountain Forge offers to best suit people's needs for surviving violence and preparing their families and communities. Seminars such as Surviving Knife Attacks, Beyond Concealed Carry : Combative Handgun, When They Are Inside, and Leg Damage Combatives, plus more are available. In addition to broad self and professional security programs, Mountain Forge offers unique emergency care programs such as When There Is No 911, TECC, and Stop The Bleed as well as quality instruction in survival, navigation, and communication skills.
He brings 35 years of diverse, professional educator experience to each program.
Mountain Forge is an official Education Partner with the Committee on Tactical Emergency Casualty Care ( CoTECC) and an Instructor for the American College Of Surgeons Stop The Bleed Program.
